I am still reading comments on my latest DD.



And I answered many. I am amazed that my photo stroke a chord in many of you. This is magic. :nod:

: Maybe I should feel honored, but in fact I am pretty angry that the actually well-renowned Time-magazine used one of my photos for more than a year now without paying or crediting me. It is a portrait of the famous Israeli photog David Rubinger that I took of him with my Bessa R3M in Jerusalem in 2007. You may have seen it before along with the others from the same series here on dA.



I would have expected that someone from Mr. Scott MacLeod's office would have contacted me before they use the photo on their website. This is not the way, fellow journalists should treat each other. I mean this is Time and not the Hinter-Schwarzwälder Anzeigenblatt.

I am in contact with Robin Bierstedt, Vice President & Deputy General Counsel at Time Inc., now and hopefully we can settle this cause in a civil way...

Today, 7/3, they removed the photo from the website. And offered 100$ as compensation - which is ridiculous.
The photo was also used on the cover of Rubinger's book. No permission either, no payment, but allegedly a full credit. Can't check that though...

My girlfriend sent me to your website, i watched your pictures being really intruiged by your look at the world, then i saw you are a journalist (ok, that explains why your photos are that professional), and you are from Detmold.
